Reg Media Group prefers to launch products into markets that have
regulatory or compliance-driven dynamics. Among our areas of interest:

Covering the intersection of national security and foreign investment, Foreign Investment Watch is (literally) the only information service tracking The Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. and other global national-security regimes. FIW anticipated this revolution in the investment community, and its Editorial Advisory Board attracted the former Head of CFIUS Thomas Feddo, as well as national security and foreign investment experts from the U.S. Departments of Defense, Treasury, Homeland Security, State, and Commerce, as well as the former U.S. Trade Representative, the head of Team Telecom, and others. Final regulations under the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act of 2018, which fueled the growth of FIW, became effective Feb. 13, 2020. Foreign Investment Watch launched in Q1 2020, and already reaches 9,000+ institutional investors, corporations, and global law firms. Visit Foreign Investment Watch.

Driven by the creation of the healthcare interoperability framework initiated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ “Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT,” as well as the Dec. 2019 “Transparency in Coverage” proposal that would require insurers to disclose price and cost-sharing information, Health Data Report will provide data and intelligence regarding the new compliance requirements for payers, providers, developers and healthcare companies. Regulatory mandates regarding healthcare data — including its usage, ownership, and requirements to put patients at the center — herald a revolution impacting myriad stakeholders, and the topic has been largely unserved by existing media and events companies. Our product code-named “Health Data Report” is in R&D mode.

In May 2022, the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed rules to enhance climate-related disclosures for investors. Those rules, while largely overlooked by mainstream media, are poised to standardize, legitimize and transform the distributed “cottage industry” of ESG experts, platforms, data services and advisors that currently serve the nascent sustainability market. The normalization and mainstreaming of sustainability will create new opportunities in data, intelligence, content and platforms that currently lack structure or even definitions; in fact, we believe that “ESG” is entirely the wrong term to describe this emerging market, and contend that existing advocacy/activist approaches are fundamentally flawed. Our platform codenamed ESG.io is currently in R&D mode.

In December of 2019, the Federal Aviation Administration proposed new rules that would require all unmanned aircraft systems — commonly known as drones — to be identified remotely and automatically. This “Remote ID” regulation is aimed at enhancing security and safety, and will have major implications for commercial operators, from Amazon and Google to UPS and medical centers. This FAA development is timed with massive investment in infrastructure and VTOL technology (vertical takeoff and landing) by players ranging from Boeing and Honda to Uber and myriad startups. This emerging and underserved market is poised to explode as it goes mainstream, from perceptions of “hobby” to commercial validation. Our product code-named “UAM Week” is in R&D mode.
